India is in the firm grip of the second wave of COVID-19. A pall of gloom has descended across the nation. Daily infections are at a record high, oxygen and medicine are scarce, even crematoriums and burial grounds have run out of capacity. Several states have announced lock downs. This situation will no doubt have a long-term impact on all our lives, whether we are directly impacted by the virus or not. It is not only lives, but livelihoods are also at stake.
